Have you ever come face to face with a bighorn sheep on the edge of a cliff? How about a silverback gorilla deep in the jungle of Rwanda? Jolie Jones has. And reading this confirms we’ve convinced her these anecdotes are precisely what clients need to know about her.

In addition to being brave, smart, tireless, and a great negotiator. She also cares deeply.

Jolie and her team not only depend on each other to sustain a beautiful and fulfilling life in Taos, they also work to help others build stability. With Taos Digs — a Jones West sister company — Jolie and her team of property managers act as intermediaries between property owners and long-term tenants to create housing solutions.

Working to find housing opportunities is a big deal for Jolie. By offering both real estate transactions and property management services she oversees a joint effort to find synergies and results. Same goes for the Jones West First-Time Home Buyer Program, which dedicates a percentage of Jolie’s quarterly revenue to subsidize closing costs for qualified first-time home buyers.

Here in the wilds of Taos, for over two decades, Jolie has built a reputation for great communication, compassion, wit and problem-solving — which, incidentally, are the exact qualities that make easy work of both real estate transactions and wild animal encounters.

    Katie@JonesWestTaos.com

Katie was raised in Taos saturated in the passions of her parents: real estate, art and horses. Katie set off on her own hero’s journey — leaving Taos for adventures both near and far, only to ultimately return to the Sangre de Cristo’s and her passion for skiing and rafting.

Taos is also where Katie met her husband Garrett — a ski patroller and the only place she and Garrett would ever dream to raise their son Brody.

Real estate suits Katie well, her efforts benefit from the artistic vision she inherited from her mother, her father’s legacy of accomplishment and her own broad perspective, humor and deep knowledge of our market.

Let it also be known, Katie was once a competitive chess player. Jolie says, “She’s got moves people!”

    Jamaica@JonesWestTaos.com

Jamaica’s claim to northern New Mexico can be traced to a 16th century royal cartographer in service to the king of Spain. She is very proud — all due ancestral conquering angst aside — of her Spanish roots and her abiding affection for Taos.

After graduating from Taos High, Jamaica launched her adult life at Smith College in Massachusetts. Later she joined the Peace Corps and spent two formative years in Lesotho, in Southern Africa.

Jamaica has been working with Jolie Jones since time immemorial (aka more than a decade). She loves the people she meets and the lifestyle property management allows for her and her wife Mary and their three adopted children.

“We enjoy living in Taos and remind ourselves, often, how lucky we are to live in this beautiful state where we still feel safe and as though our non-traditional family is valued and seen.”

  • Boots on the Ground

How to describe Mona… Well, for a start, she’s an agnostic bartender (she’s been slinging drinks for decades) but she also makes sure people get home safely, via her ride service. She’s an avid skier, runner, mountain biker and traveler. She has a chainsaw. She shovels snow and sh*t and anything else that gets in her way.

She has one dress and it’s a moo-moo and she bought it on her sixtieth birthday in Hawaii.

There’s no one better than Mona. And it’s Mona who is responsible for our weekly Taos Digs home inspections. She carries out the inspections every week.

    W I T H O U T F A I L.

Mona fixes everything she finds and leaves every place better than she found it.

We love her, you will too.
